We did it!

After Tim's many suggestions and my many refusals, I finally decided that it would be beneficial for us to buy a laptop. So, last night, I told Tim it would be a good idea to buy a laptop. His response: "I've been saying that the whole time!"

After getting this new idea in my head, I have to research it. It's just what I do. I research things to know if I should keep dreaming until later, do it now, or not do it at all. During this research, I remembered driving past CompUSA and seeing a store closing sign. I was looking on their website and at Consumer Reports and found some decent deals. After consulting with Tim and his researching, we ventured into the "warm" afternoon sun to see what they had at the store. We came out with this brand-spanking-new laptop:

Tim's requirements:

• fast (GHz)
  
• lots of memory/storage (at least 1 GB, preferably 2 GB)
  
• reliable brand (HP, Dell or Compaq)
  

Maria's requirements:

• Word
• PowerPoint
• email/blogging
• and most importantly: SOLITAIRE

You may not have guessed it, but Tim is the technological genius of the two of us, which is why I am blogging on the old computer. The same one I've had since my freshman year of college. The same one that I didn't run Spyware OR antivirus on for years! I think it works great, which is why I'm on it now. But it's okay. I get the more comfortable, bum-friendly chair with arm rests!
